Its Story
The molting of the winged ones is a transformation of mass and density:
In the breath of the long night, their bone cavities are gradually ”hollowed out,“ gaining the delicate porosity of reeds.

The alignment of their muscles follows the rhythm of the flight spectrum, shifting from horizontal tension to oblique traction, while wind passes between their shoulder blades, emitting a faint, resonant hum.

When the volume fraction of air within their bodies crosses a certain threshold, their density aligns with the night wind — as weight departs from solid form and is borne instead by the flow of air,
the winged ones are no longer bound to the earth.

About Anthro
Anthro derives from the root of anthropology, meaning “about humans.”

For us, it carries two extended senses: human form / human ways — referring both to the forms of humanity and to ways of living.

At Anthro, we take the explorer’s view: through objects, we search for traces of mythic humankind and the ways they lived. We believe the human forms found in myth embody the selves that different eras have longed for. These forms may be ultra-ancient or ultra-futuristic, leaping across stories in states of transition. As they move between times, the spiritual world that transcends matter is inscribed into a way of life founded on reverence.

Because our pieces are handmade ceramics, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless there is a quality defect or the item arrived damaged in transit.

What qualifies

Shipping damage: cracks, breaks, or significant chips caused during delivery.

Manufacturing defects: structural issues that affect normal use (e.g., leaking body, unstable base).

What doesn’t qualify (normal handmade characteristics)

The following are part of handmade ceramic craft and are not considered defects:

Minor variations in size/shape (±1–3 mm), weight, or symmetry

Natural glaze effects (speckling, slight pinholes, pooling, color variation, subtle texture lines)

Slight color differences due to lighting or display screens

Wabi-sabi surface marks that do not affect function

Custom/commissioned pieces and sale items (final sale)

Damage due to misuse, improper care, or accidental drops after delivery

Report an issue

To be eligible for a replacement/refund:

Email us within 48 hours of delivery for shipping damage, or within 7 days for quality issues: anthroatlas@gmail.com.

Include your order number and a brief description.

Attach clear photos of:

The outer shipping box (all sides)

Packing materials inside

The shipping label

The item showing the issue (close-ups + full piece)

Claims filed after these windows, or without required photos, may not be approved.

Resolution

Replacement first (subject to stock & handmade lead times).

If a replacement isn’t available, we’ll offer a refund or store credit.

We may request return of the defective item; if so, please use the original packaging and follow our prepaid label instructions.

Return shipping

For approved claims (damage/defect), we cover return shipping or do not require a return.

For non-approved returns, we cannot accept or reimburse shipping.

International orders

Customs duties/taxes are non-refundable.

The same reporting timelines and photo evidence apply.

Care & use reminder

Ceramics are fragile. Avoid thermal shock (sudden temperature changes), do not place over open flame, and hand-wash unless stated otherwise.

Address changes

If you need to update an address, contact us within 12 hours of purchase. Once a label is created, changes may incur a carrier fee or be unavailable.

Missed / refused deliveries

If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal, or unclaimed status, reship fees will apply. Original shipping is non-refundable.

Loss & damage in transit

Please inspect immediately on arrival. If damaged, email us within 48 hours with photos of the item, inner/outer packaging, and label (see Return Policy). We’ll arrange a replacement/refund per policy.

Split shipments

Orders with multiple items may ship separately at no extra cost to you.

Notes on handmade work

Handcrafted ceramics vary slightly in size/finish; these variations are normal and do not affect shipping eligibility.
